점심 즈음 Dar Es Salaam 국제공항 도착홀 앞. 사실 탄자니아에 대해 제대로 느껴보기도 전에 지쳐버렸다(이전 글 링크 참조) 하지만 이미 비행기는 떠나버렸고… Dodoma로 가는 버스를 알아보는 수 밖에 없었다.
I was in front of arrival hall of Dar Es Salaam international airport about lunch. In fact, I was tired before I even had an impression about Tanzania (see the previous post) but the plane had already left … I had no choice but to find the bus to Dodoma.
공항에 와서 가장 먼저 할 일이 현지화 인출이다. 최대 400,000실링(약 20만원) 밖에 안되서 다른 ATM을 시도해봐도 마찬가지이다. 2번 뽑으면 수수료가 배로 나갈텐데.. 나중에 더 좋은 ATM이 있을 수도 있으니 1번만 인출해야겠다.. ㅠ
The first thing to do when I come to the airport is a cash withdrawal. The maximum is 400,000 TZR (about 200,000 KRW), but the same for another ATM also. If you take 2 times, the commission fee will be doubled. I may withdraw only once because there may be better ATM later.
그와중에 공항 앞에 떡하니 놓여있는 보다콤 샵. 보다콤이 보다폰과 비슷한 계열의 회사가 아닐까? 지금까지 해외에서 보다폰으로 그럭저럭 썼었기에 보다콤도 쓸만할거라 생각하며 선불 심카드를 사려고 줄을 섰다.
In the meantime, the Vodacom shop is located in front of the airport. It looks like Vodacom is a similar company to Vodafone. So far I have been using vodafone well, so I thought it would be good to use as the prepaid SIM card also.
Total 22000TZS = 15000TZS(2GB Data) + 5000(30 min talk-time) + 2000(Sim Card)
준비물은 여권과 돈만 있으면 된다. 등록할 사진은 폰으로 즉석에서 찍는다. 현재 승인 중이라고 10분 정도 기다리면 심카드가 활성화가 된단다.
All I need was my passport and money. The photograph to be registered was taken on the spot. She said that if you wait 10 minutes for the approval, the SIM card will be activated.
일단 오늘 원래 계획이 다 틀어진 상태였고, 난 하루빨리 워크캠프 팀에 합류하고 싶었기에, 심카드가 개통되기를 기다렸다가 워크캠프 리더에게 연락하여 언제 나를 픽업해줄 수 있는지를 알아보는게 우선이었다. 와이파이도 되지 않는 것 같으므로 근처 계단에 쪼그리고 앉아 미리 다운받아 둔 스와힐리어 자료를 읽고 있었다.
Once my plan was spoiled and I wanted to join the work camp team as soon as possible, so I had to wait for the sim card to be activated then contact the work camp leader to find out when you could pick me up. WiFi do not seem to be worked, so I was squatting on the nearby stairs and reading the Swahili learning materials that I downloaded beforehand.
한국인 무리들이 모여 있는 것이 보인다. 패키지 여행객들인데 방금 도착하여 가이드의 설명을 듣고 있는 듯 하다. 나이 좀 드신 분들만 있을 줄 알았는데 나보다 어린 사람도 많이 있는 듯 하다. 약간 초조함을 느꼈던 나는 그만 ‘패키지 여행이라봐야 얼마나 재미있을까. 나처럼 봉사활동으로 여행을 오는게 훨씬 가치 있는 일이야.’라며 자기 합리화를 하고 있었다.
I can see the crowd of Koreans gathered. They seemed to be in a group tour just arriving and listening to the guide. I thought there were people who were older only, but there seem to be a lot of younger people also. I felt a little nervous I was consoled by myself just thinking ‘How much fun to travel in the group. It is much more valuable to go on a volunteer trip like myself. ”
다시 휴대폰에 다운 받아놓은 자료를 보고 있는데, 누군가가 한국말로 ‘여기 근처에 먹을 곳 없나요?’라고 물어오는 듯 하다. ‘저도 여기 방금 와서 잘 모르겠네요.’ ‘역시 한국인 맞네!’ 라며 어느 부부가 나에게 다가왔다. 그 부부는 막 자유시간이 주어져서 이곳저곳을 찾아보고 있는 듯 한데, 남편 분이 곧 다시 다가오더니 ‘이 주변에는 먹을만한 데가 저기 있는 패스트푸드점 밖에 없어.’ 아내 분은 남편을 같이 따라가다가 조심스레 나에게 ‘같이 안 갈래요?’라고 물어온다. 안 그래도 배고프고 심심했던 차인데 같이 안 갈 이유가 없지.
I’m looking at the material that I downloaded on my cell phone again, and somebody seems to be asking me, ‘Is there any place to eat near here?’ ‘I just came here and I’m not sure.’ ‘It’s Korean too!’ A couple came to me. The couple seem to be given free time and looking for somewhere to stay. But my husband is coming back soon and says, ‘There’s only a fast food restaurant around here.’ The wife followed her husband and carefully asked me ‘Do you mind to go together?’ I’m hungry and bored, so I have no reason not to go.
간단한 치킨 몇조각에 11000TZS, 콜라 1캔에 4000TZS. 공항에서 나오면 정면에 바로 보이는 패스트푸드점에서의 가격이 이정도라면… 이정도 가격은 현지인들에겐 상당히 비싼 가격인 듯 하다. 음식을 주문한 덕에 계단이 아닌 식당 테이블에 당당하게 앉을 수 있게 되었다. 그 부부는 한 20일 정도 일정으로 탄자니아를 여행 왔다고 한다. 남편 분이 산을 상당히 좋아하게 보이시고, 실제로 킬리만자로 등반을 마치고 온 상태란다. 오늘 저녁에 잔지바르로 이동하는 일정이라, 여기서 반나절 정도 시간이 빈 상태인데, 시간을 어떻게 보내는게 좋을지 모르겠다고 한다. 남편 분은 여기가 명색에 탄자니아의 경제적 수도인 Dar Es Salaam 국제공항인데 공항을 나와서 펼쳐지는 허허벌판의 풍경에 실망했다고 한다. 사실 나도 공항에서 보았을 때 주변에는 아무것도 없고 부대시설도 거의 없다시피하니 실망하긴 했었다. 그 분들에게 킬리만자로 등반 이야기를 들으니 가고 싶은 마음이 생기긴 하지만 이번에는 일정 상 갈 수가 없으므로 어쩔 수 없이 다음을 기약해야 한다… 내가 봉사활동으로 왔다고 하니 어떻게 해서 봉사활동 프로그램을 알게 되고 참여하게 되었는지 등 궁금해하고 대단하다고 하신다.

If you come out of the airport and the price is like that at the fast food restaurant in front of you … this price seems to be a very expensive price for the locals. Thanks to the ordering of the food, I was able to sit on the dining table rather than the stairs. The couple said they had traveled to Tanzania for about 20 days. The husband seems to like mountains very much and has already finished climbing Kilimanjaro. They’re going to Zanzibar this evening, and have half a day here, but do not know how they should spend my time. The husband said when he was here at the Dar Es Salaam International Airport, the economic capital of Tanzania, he was disappointed with the landscape of the countryside out of the airport. In fact, when I saw it at the airport, I was disappointed that there was nothing around or very few facilities. I had a feeling that I wanted to go to Kilimanjaro but I can not go there because I won’t have enough time besides participating in the workcamp… They were curious and wonderful that I came to volunteer activities.
10분이 지나서 개통이 된다고 했던 심카드는 20분, 30분이 지나도 안된다. 가게에 다시 가서 개통이 왜 아직도 안되냐고 따지니 아직 승인 중인거 같다면서 자기가 한번 더 연락해서 요청할테니 조금만 기다려보란다. 나는 인터넷이 안되는 것은 참지를 못하는데,,, 슬슬 인내심의 한계에 다다르고 있었다.
The sim card that was supposed to be activated after the 10 minutes should not do even after 20 minutes or 30 minutes. I went back to the store and asked why. She guess It’s still being approved and said I will contact him again and please wait for a moment. I can not bear the internet not available,,, I was reaching the limits of patience.
한편, 그때까지도 나는 그날 밤 버스를 타고 Dodoma로 갈 수 있을 줄 알았다. 인터넷에서 버스 출발 시간을 확인하지는 못했지만 8시간 정도 걸리는 버스면 대개 야간 버스는 있을 것이고, 조금 더 편한 슬리퍼 좌석이 있을지 그냥 앉아서 가야 할지의 문제인 줄 알았다. 그래서 버스 시간과 좌석을 확인하러 근처 Tourist Information Center에 갔는데, 왠걸? 야간 버스가 없단다.
On the other hand, even then I knew I could take the bus to Dodoma that night. I could not confirm the bus departure time on the internet, but I thought that usually night buses are available for 8 hours bus, and it would be a matter of whether to sit in a more comfortable slippers seat. So I went to the nearby Tourist Information Center to check the bus times and seats. What? There is no night bus.
아무리 빨리 타도 내일 7시 정도가 가장 빠른 출발 시간인데, Dodoma까지 8시간 걸린다고 했으니 그렇다면 내일 오전 오후를 버스에서 다 보내라는 말 아닌가. 내일 버스에서 지겨워서 어떻게 견딜지 생각만 해도 막막했다. 아직까지도 Uvikiuta(워크캠프 주최 현지 NGO)에서 뭔가 더 빨리 갈 수 있는 방법을 제공해주지 않을까 기대하고 있었다.

계속 기다려도 심카드가 개통되지 않자 근처 현지인들의 전화를 빌려 워크캠프 리더에게 전화하기 시작했다. 그래서 드라이버가 여기로 오고 있다는 말을 들었고… 별다른 대책이 없이 기다리는 수 밖에 없었다. 그 순간, 어떤 무슬림 남자가 Uvikiuta라는 플래카드를 들고 다니는 것을 보았는데… Uvikiuta라면 그 워크캠프 기관이 아닌가? 그 사실을 알아차리고 보니 그 남자는 어디로 간지 보이지 않았다. 주변 사람들에게 무슬림 의상과 모자를 쓰고 Uvikiuta 플래카드를 들고 있었던 사람이 어디 갔냐고 수소문해보니, 다행히 어떤 사람이 자기가 안다고 불러오겠다고 한다. 제발 맞길… 이내 다시 돌아오더니 주차장 쪽에 있다고 가보라고 한다.
When Sim card failed to open even though I kept waiting, I borrowed a call from a nearby locals and started calling the leader of the work camp. Then I heard that the driver was coming here … and I had no choice but to wait. At that moment, I saw a Muslim man carrying a placard called Uvikiuta … Is not my work camp institution? When I realized that, he already left around here. I asked somebody who was wearing the Muslim wearing the costume, hat and holding a Uvikiuta placard around them, and fortunately someone said he would call the guy and bring him here. Please… He will come back and ask me to find him in the nearby parking lot.

주차장에 가보니 아까 그 무슬림 남자가 웃으며 서 있다. 현재 4시 40분. 이렇게 해서 이제서야 나를 데리러가줄 Juma 를 만났다. 나는 Juma가 타고 있는 차를 확인한 뒤 패스트푸드점에 있는 내 짐을 찾으면서 저녁이 되기만을 기다리고 있는 한국인 부부와 작별인사를 한 뒤 드디어 차에 탔다.
When I go to the parking lot, the Muslim man was standing laughing. 4:40 pm now. So I met Juma who would pick me up. I checked where the vehicle was and told him to wait until I bring my baggage at the fast-food restaurant and finally said goodbye to a Korean couple in the restaurant.
봉고차 같은 것을 타니 조수석에 한 사람이 앉아 있었다.(탄자니아는 운전석이 우리와 정 반대인 오른쪽에 있다. 여기서 운전하기는 힘들겠구나…) 홍콩에서 온 Herman이었다.(중국 이름은 홍 헐 ?? 인 것 같은데… 외우기 힘들지만 곧 외워지겠지.) 마침 난 새로운 사람을 만나고 싶어 안달이 난 상태였고, Herman 또한 나를 살갑게 대해주었다. 왠지 거침없고 여유로워보이는 그는 이미 Serengeti와 Ngorongoro (처음에 듣고 배가 꼬르륵거린다는 줄 알고 얼마나 웃겼던지)를 여행하고 온 뒤였고, 국내에서 NGO 컨테스트에 선발되어서 참가비 지원으로 워크캠프에 참여하게 되었다고 한다.(보통 워크캠프를 참여할 때 참가비를 납부해야 한다.) 그는 이내 차량 충전 시거잭 & 멀티usb를 꺼내더니 차에 꽂기도 하고, 홍콩에서 온 Queenie를 알고 있는데 오늘 버스를 타고 Dodoma로 가고 있다고 한다. 이번에 워크캠프 같이 참여하는 한국인 분도 오늘 버스 타고 Dodoma로 간다고 했는데? 아마 같은 일행인 것 같다. 버스 이야기가 나온 김에 Juma에게 Dodoma로 가는 야간버스가 없냐고 물어봤더니 예상했지만 없다는 대답. 안전을 위해 정부에서 주간에만 버스를 출발하게 하고 야간에는 버스를 운행하지 못한단다. 또한 예전에 6시간 걸리는 거리를 너무 급하게 운전하지 말라고 8시간이나 걸려서 가야된단다. (나라 자체의 교통 안전이 우리 현장 안전 수준이다…) 내일 버스에서 보낼 8시간이 벌써 길게 느껴졌지만 다행히도 Herman도 내일 같은 버스를 타고 Dodoma로 갈 것이라고 하니 혼자가 아니라 심심하진 않을 것 같다. Muslim인 Juma 말로는 여기는 Christian과 Muslim의 비율이 거의 반반이라고 한다. 두 종교의 관계가 심상치 않기에 여기서도 종교 문제가 발생하진 않는지 걱정이 되기도 했다…
There was one person sitting in the passenger seat(In Tanzania, the driver’s seat is on the right side as our opposite side, which is hard for me to drive here …) Herman from Hong Kong. (I can not remember his chinese name, hong hul???, but it will be memorized soon.) I was so eager to meet a new person, and Herman also was very friendly to me. He seemed to be somewhat relaxed, and he had already traveled to Serengeti and Ngorongoro (how funny he was at first hearing that like the sound the stomach was growling), and he was selected as a NGO contest in Korea, He usually pulls out a car charger with multi-USB plugging in the car, knows Queenie from Hong Kong, who is going to Dodoma by bus today. I heard a Korean named Grace who participated like a work camp said that he would go to Dodoma by bus today? They seems to be in the same party. As the story of the bus came up, I asked Juma if there is a night bus to Dodoma. For safety reasons, the government only allows buses to leave during the daytime and does not operate buses at nighttime. Also, it took even 8 hours rather than the 6 hour so that it driving distance not too fast. (I think The safety standard of the country itself is the same in our construction site.) I have already felt boring to spend 8 hours on the bus tomorrow, but fortunately Herman is going to Dodoma on the same bus tomorrow. Juma, the muslim guy also says that the ratio between Christian and Muslim is almost half. As the relationship between the two religions is so controversial, I was also worried that there would be religious problems here too …
Uvikiuta Center는 공항에서 1시간 좀 넘게 남쪽으로 가야되며 시내에서도 멀리 떨어져 있다.
The Uvikiuta Center is just over an hour south of the airport and far away from the city center.
6시 20분 즈음 Uvikiuta Center 도착. Juma를 내일도 볼 수 있으리라 기대했지만 Juma의 역할은 여기까지였다. 아쉽지만 작별 인사를 하며… 새롭게 맞이하는 Helen을 만났다. 자신이 여기 담당자라고 소개하며 우리에게 숙소와 화장실을 보여주었다. 숙소는 다행히 침대가 있었으나, 베개만 있고 이불이 없었다. 화장실에는 불을 켤 수 있는 것이 없었고 샤워기 대신 Bucket이 준비되어 있었다. 처음 봤다면 많이 당황했을 수도 있지만 나는 이미 5년 전 인도에서도 이런걸 봤던터라 무덤덤하다. 이제야 제대로 탄자니아에 온 듯한 기분이었다.
Arriving at Uvikiuta Center around 6:20 pm. I expected to see Juma tomorrow, but Juma’s role was up to this point. Sorry to say goodbye … I met Helen who welcomed me. He showed us his hostel and toilet, introducing himself as a representative here. Fortunately, there was a bed, but only a pillow and no bedding. There was nothing to turn on the light in the bathroom and a bucket was ready instead of the shower. It may have been a lot of embarrassment if I saw it for the first time, but I have already seen it in India 5 years ago. Now I feel like I have come to Tanzania properly.
오늘 손님은 우리 밖에 없는 듯 하다.(원래 날짜상으로 워크캠프가 오늘부터 시작이기 때문에 다른 참가자들은 어제 밤에 모두 여기에 머물렀다가 오늘 아침에 이미 Dodoma로 가는 버스를 탔다고 한다.) 얼마 전까지 여기에서도 무언가 활동이 있었던 것 같다. 이걸 보니 내일 빨리 Dodoma로 가서 워크캠프 사람들을 만나고 싶네.
It seems that we are the only guests today (as the work camp was supposed to start today, the other participants stayed here last night, and they had already got on the bus to Dodoma this morning). It seems that there was something activity. I would like to go to Dodoma tomorrow and see the people in the work camp.
슬슬 배가 고파져오니 Helen이 저녁 먹을 장소로 우리를 안내했고, 지지직거리는 TV가 놓여있는 조그마한 거실에 앉아 저녁을 기다리고 있었다. Helen은 내 갤럭시 노트 엣지를 보더니 자기도 삼성 갤럭시 스마트폰을 너무 가지고 싶은데 여기서는 비싸서 사질 못하니 나중에 한국 가면 대신 사서 보내줄 수 없냐고 한다. 아무래도 삼성 폰들이 한국에서 수입해오니 한국에서는 당연히 훨씬 싸다고 생각하는가보다.
Helen introduced us to a place to have dinner and waited for dinner in a small living room with a crackling TV. Helen looked at my Galaxy Note Edge and said I want to order a Samsung Galaxy smartphone when I am in Korea, because because it is expensive here. It seesm they think Samsung phones are made in Korea so much cheaper there.
그리고나서 Helen이 제출 서류(참가자 정보, 서약서 등)와 참가비(250EUR)에 대해서 얘기하는데… 아차! 2번째 워크캠프라 별 걱정 없이 오다보니 제출 서류와 참가비를 가져오는 것을 깜빡했다! 인포싯에 내용을 봤던 기억이 나는데 굳이 미리 준비해가지 않아도 현지에서 준비할 수 있는 것들이니 여기 오기 전까지 딱히 신경을 쓰지 않았다. 예상한 대로 제출 서류는 그 자리에서 바로 작성할 수 있었으나, 문제는 참가비에 대해 미리 생각하고 ATM에서 현금을 인출했어야 하는데 그러지 못했으므로 참가비 낼 돈이 부족했다. 어차피 참가비는 조금 수수료를 들더라도 EUR(유로)가 아니라 TZR(탄자니아 실링)으로 내려고 생각하고 있었기에, 250EUR을 TZR로 환산해보니 2,627.26(TZR/EUR)*250(EUR)=656,815(TZR)≒657,000TZR이다. 그런데 나는 공항에서 1회 인출 한도 때문에 400000TZR만 인출하였기 때문에 지금 저만큼 낼 수 있는 돈이 없다.. 이럴 줄 알았으면 공항에서 400000TZR을 더 인출했어야 하는데… Uvikiuta Center가 시내에서 멀리 떨어져있기 때문에 근처에 ATM도 없다는데… 다행히 Herman이 305000TZR을 빌려줄 수 있어서 겨우 참가비를 냈고 난 순식간에 빈털터리가 되었다. 더군다나 내일 버스정류장까지 가는 택시와 버스 비용도 내야한다니…(참가비 지원 받고 온 Herman도 예외는 아니었음) 당장 그 돈도 낼 돈이 없어서 내일 버스 타기 전에 ATM 가서 돈은 인출해야했다. 일단 그 문제는 제쳐두고… 저녁이 다 되었다니 저녁부터 먹고 보자.
Then Helen talks about the submission documents (participant information, pledges, etc.) and the entry fee (250EUR) … Oh! I came to the second work camp without worrying about it and forgot to bring the submission documents and the participation fee! I remember seeing that in the infomation sheet, but I did not care much before I came here because I can prepare it here even if I do not prepare it beforehand. As expected, the submission documents could be made right here, but the problem was that I didn’t have enough money to pay the entry fee so had to withdraw cash at the ATM. It was okay for me to pay more when I pay TZR (Tanzanian Shilling) instead of EUR (Euro), so I converted 250 EUR to TZR and it was 2,627.26 (TZR / EUR) * 250 (EUR) = 656,815 (TZR) ≒ 657,000TZR. As I said I did not have enough money to pay as much because I withdrew 400000TZR, one-time withdrawal limit at the airport. If I knew this, I should have withdrawn 400000TZR once more from the airport … Because Uvikiuta Center is far from the city, there was not any ATM near here, but fortunately Herman was able to borrow 305,000TZR, so I could pay the entry fee and I was quickly broke. I also had to pay for the taxi and bus to the bus stop tomorrow … (Herman, whose participation fee was fully supported, was no exception). I did not have enough money to pay right now. Hmm…. Let ‘s have dinner first.
한편, 우리 말고 자원봉사자가 아무도 없을 줄 알았는데 저녁을 먹으러 부엌이 있는 집으로 들어왔을 때 한 이탈리아 여자(Daphne) 도 있었다. 그녀는 이 집에서 머물고 있었는데, 와서 오래 있었던 듯 했다. 알고보니 여기 근처 학교에서 교육봉사를 이미 2주 이상 한 것 같았다. 자기 혼자만 여기서 일하고 있고 다른 사람들은 늘 여기를 거쳐서 다른 지역으로 간다고 말하는데 외로워 보였다.
On the other hand, I thought there was no volunteer but we had an Italian woman (Daphne) when she came into the house with the kitchen to have dinner. She was staying at this house, and it seemed like she had been there for a long time. It seemed to me that she already had more than two weeks of educational volunteer activity at a nearby school. It seemed lonely to say that she are only working here and others are always coming here and going to another area.
토마토 소스 스파게티, 고기, 구운 바나나로 다소 단촐해보일 수는 있지만 만족스러웠다. 스파게티랑 고기를 워낙에 좋아하는 터라… 구운 바나나는 처음 먹어본 것 같은데 바나나를 구우니 고구마 맛이 나는 듯 하다. 맛있긴 하였으나 입이 텁텁해져서 많이는 못 먹겠다.
Tomato sauce, spaghetti, meat, and baked bananas seemed to be somewhat simple but satisfying. I like spaghetti and meat very well … I think I ate the baked banana for the first time. Although it was delicious, my mouth became so tough that I could not eat much.
그와중에 daphne도 스파게티를 좋아하는지 접시에 스파게티를 몇 번이고 퍼왔었는데(음식이 있고 각자 접시를 가지고 먹고 싶은 만큼 덜어가는 방식) 생각해보니 웃겼다. 왜냐하면 한국어로 daphne(=다푸네)라고 생각하면서 스파게티를 다 푸고 있는 모습을 보자니… ㅎㅎㅎ
In the meantime, daphne liked spaghetti so which she served on her plate several times (the foods was placed on big bowls so that they should be served in plates by ourselves). Because I think it is daphne (‘scooping up’ in Korean) in Korean and I see the spaghetti being scooped off… hahaha
같이 있는 귀여운 아이는 초등학생 정도로 보였는데, 요 근처 primary school에 다니는 것 같았다. Daphne는 매일 이 근처에서 Shuttle Bus를 타고 근처 학교로 가서 아이들에게 영어 등을 가르치고 있다고 한다. 비록 우리가 묻는 말에 간단한 대답 밖에 못했지만, 알아듣기는 하는 듯 하다. 이정도로 귀엽고 내 말을 알아들을 수 있는 정도라면… 나도 가르치고 싶다.
A cute little boy seemed to be an elementary school student, but he seemed to be in primary school nearby. Daphne travels to the nearby school on a shuttle bus every day and teachs children about something including English. Although he have only a brief answer to what we ask, he seem to understand English well. If children are so cute and can understand my words … I want to teach.
내일 버스정류장으로 가기 위해 Helen이 택시를 예약해주기로 했고, 새벽 6시까지 준비하고 나와야 한다. Herman이 내일 아침을 살 시간이 없을 듯 하고 당장 마실 물도 없으니 지금 근처로 나가서 물이나 간식을 사와야 되지 않냐고 한다. 마침 Daphne가 근처에 있는 가게를 안다고 해서 Daphne에게 안내해달라고 부탁했다. Uvikiuta Center는 여느 곳의 시골과 다를바가 없이 해가 지니 벌써부터 주변이 깜깜해지고 빛이 하나도 없다. 곧바로 휴대폰의 플래시를 켜야하는 상황이지만 Herman의 LED Headlight가 더 밝았다.(아까 차에서도 multi-USB 차량 시거잭을 차에다가 꽂지 않나… Herman은 뭔가 좀 특별한 것 같다.) 이와중에 Daphne는 지금까지 밤에 혼자 나갈 때 좀 무서웠다고 하고… 나도 워크캠프가 Dodoma에서 하는 것만 아니면 여기에 더 머물고 싶다. ㅠㅠ 어찌됐든 근처에 열린 구멍가게를 찾아 물과 스낵 사고 돌아오기 퀘스트 완료.
Helen decided to book a taxi to go to the bus stop tomorrow, and I and Herman should be ready by 6 am. Herman says we have no time to breakfast tomorrow morning and he does not have any water to drink at the moment, so he should go out and buy water or snacks. Fortunately Daphne know any store nearby so we can ask Daphne to guide us. The Uvikiuta Center is like any other countryside, and its surroundings are already dark and there is no light. I suddenly turned on my light on my smartphone, but Herman’s LED Headlight is brighter (even he was plugging a multi-USB car charger into a car before … Herman seems to have something special) Daphne said she was a bit scared when I went outside in the evening alone … I want to stay here more unless I have to go to Dodoma tomorrow. ㅠㅠ Anyway, we find a small shop nearby and buy the water and snacks to return to the center safely.
이불도 없어서 뭔가 허전하고 선풍기도 제대로 작동이 안해서 자기 전에 찬물로 버킷 샤워를 한번 해주고 더운 땀을 씻어내야 그나마 잠을 좀 잘 수 있을 것 같다. Herman은 Queenie와 계속 보이스톡 하고 있었다. 나도 Grace에게 이것저것 물어보고 싶은게 많았지만 아직 데이터도 없고 고작 Herman에게 테더링 잠깐 빌려서 카카오톡 몇번 주고받은게 다다.(Grace도 평소 치고는 카카오톡 많이 하기는 했다…) 내일 워크캠프에서 만날 새로운 사람들은 어떨 지 기대가 된다! 내일은 하루종일 충전기 없이 지내야 하는 일정이니 스마트폰, 블루투스 이어폰, Power Bank 모두 충전시켜놓고 자야겠다. I do not have any futon, and there was no fan to work properly so I need to take a shower of bucket with cold water and wash my hot sweat before going to bed. Herman kept voice-chatting with Queenie. I also wanted to ask Grace(a korean girl) a lot about the workcamp, but I do not have any data yet, so I just asked Herman a tethering for a few minutes and I could only use a couple of message on kacao talks with her. (But Grace also had a lot of kakaotalk than as usual…) I am looking forward to how the people will be tomorrow in the workcamp! Tomorrow, I have to spend the whole day without a charger, so I have to charge my smartphone, Bluetooth earphone and Power Bank. Zzz …
