제 버킷리스트 중 하나인 ‘가이드’. 누군가와 여행하면서 꼼꼼히 계획하는 것을 좋아하고 가이드해주며 동행자가 만족하는 것을 보고 기뻐하던 저이지만, 지금껏 UAE 생활에 치여 잊고 있었어요.(지인, 친구들 가이드는 제외) 이제 한국으로 돌아간다고 생각하니 꼭 하고 싶은 것 중에 이게 떠올랐어요.
안타깝게도 UAE에 경유하면서 공항에만 머물다가 가시거나(공항 바로 앞이 시내인데…), 교통이나 비용의 제약 때문에 제대로 즐기지 못하고 가시는 분들을 많이 봐서, 그 분들께 도움이 될까봐 가이드 활동을 해볼까 합니다.
개인적인 사정으로 3월 중순까지만 특가(10000원, 인원 별로 상이)로 하여 프라이빗 투어로 진행할 예정이에요.(다르게 말하면 제 특별한 투어를 경험할 수 있는 기회가 3월 중순까지 밖에 남지 않았네요.)

Q 가이드가 필요한 이유?
-중동은 삐까뻔쩍하게 보이는 것이 다가 아닙니다. 인터넷에 검색해봐도 나오지 않습니다. 가이드의 설명을 들으면 소위 오일머니의 외면 뿐만 아니라 현지 문화에 대해 좀 더 깊게 이해할 수 있게 됩니다.
-여행에 필수적인 교통, 데이터 비용 등은 처음 방문하는 여행자가 일일히 부담하는 것보다 저에게 지불하는 것이 비용적인 면에서 이득입니다.
Q 가격이 왜이렇게 싼가요? 가이드의 질이 떨어지는 것은 아닌가요?
-저는 현재 돈벌이 목적으로 가이드를 하지는 않고 있습니다. 가이드 활동만을 통해서 저 스스로 얻는 만족도 제가 얻는 수익의 일부라고 생각하거든요. 오히려 제가 만족하기 위해서 여행자 분을 더 만족시켜주어야 하기 때문에 절대 가이드의 질이 저하될 리는 없습니다. (머무시는 시간이 부족하여 원하시는 것을 모두 충족시켜줄 수 없는 등 현실적인 문제는 감안하셔야 합니다.)
